The event is happening this Saturday, 7th March 2015, from 10 am to 3 pm, at Corries Farm, Crossnamuckley Road, BT22 2AA (just off Ballyblack Rd), Newtownards. Parking will be available adjacent to the Farm, with PSNI providing Minibus transport to and from the site to alleviate road congestion.

The following live demonstrations/exhibitions will feature at the Event:

  • 10:00 -14:00 HRS – TRAILER MARKING EVENT – CRIME PREVENTION/NPT

  • 12:00 HRS – NIFRS, NIAS and PSNI will demonstrate a Tractor/vehicle collision and the Emergency Service Response to such an incident which will highlight the dangers to all using the country roads and the need for full attention at the wheel of any road using vehicle.

  • 14:00 HRS – NIFRS will also demonstrate a Large Animal Rescue using their equipment in a simulated environment.

  • 14:30 Free draw for Tank Commander Proactive Anti -Theft Devices for Plant Machinery & Fuel Storage – Proof of Farm Identification Number required for inclusion in Draw

  • ALL DAY – Blood Pressure Testing and Stress Indicator Testing.

  • Gas Safety Register Stand

  • PSNI Liveried Tractor and Quad will be in attendance

  • NUFU Risk Management Specialists Stand

  • NIE providing practical guidelines when operating near overhead lines and underground cables

  • DOENI – addressing pollution and wildlife issues relevant to the area

  • FLOURISH addressing Human Trafficking/Exploitation as Cheap Labour Option

  • CATERING will be provided by Ballyblack Women’s Institute

  • PLANT & FUEL CRIME PREVENTION PRIZES WORTH £1800 TO BE WON ON THE DAY

  • TANK COMMANDER will demonstrate their rural crime prevention products

  • PSNI Firearms Officers will be in attendance to answer any queries

  • TRAILER MARKING will take place hosted by Crime Prevention Officers

  • Ards Council Dog Wardens will be in attendance to provide advice for straying dogs

  • HELP WITH FINANCIAL STRESS will host an information Stand

  • CAFRE– will advise on Farm Diversification

  • St John’s Ambulance – First Aid Provision

  • S.I.D. as a traffic calming measure – Ards Borough Council

  • Clean up Squad – Ards Borough Council Litter Wardens
