There has been a huge effort put in by everyone in CDRCN and all our volunteers across the Council area to bring relief to people isolated and locked down in their own homes during the coronavirus emergency.
We’ve been working on the Covid Response Hubs alongside Council staff, fellow community groups and key community volunteers to bring essential food parcels to the most vulnerable people in our communities who have been unable to leave their homes.
Nicholas McCrickard, Manager of CDRCN said ‘When the chips are down, good people rise up to meet the challenge. The efforts by hundreds of volunteers over the last 10 weeks has been incredible. CDRCN and other community and Council colleagues will be forever grateful to the clubs, churches and groups that have stood with us in this time. You are all heroes and however small your act of kindness, you should take a bow. ’
